Loch Kinardochily

Loch Kinardochily, Scotland, U.K Loch Kinardochy lies in the hills between Aberfeldy and Tummel Bridge with wonderful views over to Schiehallion, and the valleys of Loch Rannoch and Loch Tummel. The ruined lime kilns above the loch give a clue to its rich biodiversity. Access by car is easy with an anglers parking area off the main road. This 14ha loch has two boats that may be booked by visitors. Bank fishing is only available to members of the Club. Outboard motors are allowed, but you must provide your own and use it carefully at your own risk as there are many large rocks in the shallow waters of the loch which can cause damage. In any case, handle the boats with care to avoid groundings. Fishing is for brown trout with an average weight of around 300g but much larger fish, over 1400g, are caught each year. The loch is stocked with 15 cm one-year-olds that grow on naturally and supplement the fry from limited natural spawning. Some larger fish are introduced from time to time to make things interesting!

Caithness Moor, Scotland, U.K. Caithness and North Coast Sutherland is a large area of unspoilt, dramatic scenery in the far north of Scotland, indeed, on the extreme edge of Europe. The borders of Caithness are the Pentland Firth to the north and Moray Firth to the east. The Gaelic name for Caithness, Gallaibh, means "among the strangers" (the Norse). Autumn and winter are the best times of year to see the northern lights in Scotland as the nights are the darkest. Late at night or the early hours of the morning are generally your best chance of catching them. The Salisbury Crags

The Salisbury Crags is located in Holyrood Park (also called Queen's Park, and formerly King's Park) is a royal park in central Edinburgh, Scotland. It has an array of hills, lochs, glens, ridges, basalt cliffs, and patches of whin (gorse) within its 650-acre (260 ha) area. The park is associated with the royal palace of Holyroodhouse, and was formerly a 12th-century royal hunting estate.

A reflection of a tree at Glen Lyon Scotland UK Located in Perthshire, the glen stretches for 32 miles (51 km) and forms part of the 48,400 hectares Loch Rannoch and Glen Lyon National Scenic Area. Glen Lyon was described by Sir Walter Scott as the longest, loneliest and loveliest glen in Scotland while Wordsworth, Tennyson, Gladstone and Baden Powell have also sung its praises in the past. The River Lyon runs through the glen and tumbles through corries, gorges and riverine meadows. The pools near Bridge of Balgie are accessible, with the added benefit of parking and a little tearoom nearby. Two remote lochs (Loch Lyon and Loch an Daimh) lie in the wild upper reaches of the glen and the hauntingly beautiful remnants of the ancient Caledonian forest are also visible.
