Avoncroft Museum
In the foreground is a 1960s phone box of which there were once 11,000. Now they're nearly all gone, far outnumbered by both newer and older versions. Looks plasticky but actually iron! The very space age, red-trimmed metal and glass box behind is from 1959 and never went into production - too modern, we guess!
