Trillium Flower In The Sacred Grove

Large-flowered Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum) in The Sacred Grove, near Palmyra, New York. Site of The First Vision by Joseph Smith in 1820, an event sacred to members of the LDS Church (Mormon). This member of the lily family flowers between April and June. It's early blossoms are white, but turn pink with age.
