Officers Quarters-Fort McHenry

Photo of the officers quarters at Fort McHenry in Baltimore Maryland. These quarters were more luxurious than those of the enlisted men and featured finer cuisine as well. Fort McHenry played a pivotal role in the defeat of the Royal British Navy on September 14, 1814 inspiring Francis Scott Key to write the national anthem for the United States of America called the Star Spangled Banner.
