Pasque Flower

Pasque Flower

Pulsatilla vulgaris is a surprisingly large and conspicuous spring flower It may be found in uncultivated grassland only. The plants with single blossoms that may be found growing in large groups are very much dependent on getting lots of light. The plant is perennial. Blossoms can be seen in March and April. Dense hairs on petals and stem are a perfect protection both against cold night time temperatures and dry and windy conditions at daytime. This plant is known to be effective in treating all pain involving the reproductive organs, and is especially noted for treating menstrual pain.
