Orthodox monastery Tikhonova Pustyn in the Kaluga region (Russia). Tikhonova Pustyn Holy Dormition monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church, situated in the village of Leo Tolstoy's Kaluga region. Is one of the parishes in the Kaluga diocese. The monastery was founded by Saint Tikhon Medinskaya, presumably in 1485. Is one of the oldest monasteries in the upper reaches of the Oka, and is also one of the most remarkable monuments of historical and cultural heritage of local importance on the territory of Kaluga region.
