Thx 4 The Memories Exhibitions - Photography Events Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch City, After a series of devasting earthquakes in Christchurch, residents in a large part of the eastern suburbs began to hear the words 'Red Zone' and as the Government decreed that numerous homes in suburbs across the city were to totally disappear, the lives of thousands of people were suddenly and irrevocably changed. This large-scale outdoors exhibition by Place In Time, the Christchurch documentary project, records stories and images from one such place, the suburb of Avonside and testifies to their resilience and to the very human strength of their stories.
