Deadest of trees but greenest of grass

A picture taken from windwolves preserve in southern california. A trail extends across a canyon like mountain landscape but as the grass is unbelievably green, the trees in this area are found to be all but dead. Snowy peaks are seen in the background with spots of clouds.
