A Hard Painful Final Fall
Yesterday while walking Felix at dusk on the trail just north of Strawberry, we came across a hunter decked out in full camoflauge carrying a bow. He said he was looking for a buck he had just "taken down". Well I guess he never looked on the other side if the trail, because we found the elk not 20 yards from where the guy was walking. The shot looked off, the bloody scar was in the belly, and the elk must have slowly died while his blood drained out. I'm no hunter, and have nothing against hunting, but I could never ever pull the trigger.
