Neottia nidus-avis ( Bird s-nest Orchid)

The Bird's-nest Orchid, Neottia nidus-avis, is a non-photosynthetic orchid found in shady woodland on basic soils. It obtains its nutrients from a mycorrhizal fungus that is attached to a photosynthetic host plant.
