This photo is from Danba Qiang People Autonomous regions, Sichuan Provience, China. Qiang People is one of the 55 minorities in China. They have a tradition of building castle(or towers) around there village. Because of the conflict around them. But these castles no longer serve their origional purpose any more nowadays. The battlefield around the castles became farm,and the smoke in this picture is cooking smoke, instead of battle-warning smoke.
