1944 - Apollo in fire

A Slovak refinery called Apollo in fire. It was the first bomb attack on Bratislava, the capital of Slovak Republic. My late grandpa had an ardour for photodocumentation, this pic is from his heritage. I, as heiress of his memories, permit the use of this photo.
