Eastern Gray Squirrel - Sciurus carolinensis

An eastern gray squirrel descends a tree to find food near a backyard feeder. It is one of very few mammals that can descend a tree head-first and does so by gripping the tree bark with the claws of its hind paws which are turned to point backwards.
