Mangrove Heron bird walks by lake

A Striated Heron (Butorides striata) also known as Mangrove Heron, Little Heron or Green-backed Heron walks by a lake at the Bedok Reservoir, Singapore. herons are long-legged freshwater and coastal birds and feed on a variety of live aquatic prey. The diet includes a wide variety of aquatic animals, including fish, reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic insects.
