The erosion power of water and ice created this impressive natural amphitheater with vertical walls up to 160m in the Jura Mountains, a ancient mountain range near the Alps, famous for discoveries of dinosaur fossils (hence the name of the Jurassic period). It is located in Switzerland near Neuchatel city and lake. Accessible only by car or foot, a traveler can walk along its edge at an altitude little above 1400m.
