Angkor Wat is the best preserved temple of the Angkor complex in Cambodia. Built in the 12th century, it is the largest religious building known in the world, and one of the only temples in Angkor to have kept a religious activity throughout its existence, first as a Hindu, then as a Buddhist temple.
