Vertical-Lift Bridge

This vertical-lift bridge is spanning the Elbe river at Hamburg. Its towers are 7o meters high and the road and railway tracks are lifted up 46 meters. This makes it the highest vertical-lift bridge of the world. It was opened for traffic in 1973.
