Devas - Angkor Wat, Siem Reap

Approaching the gate, we cross a moat via a 50 meter brick road (and no, it's not yellow). On one side of the bridge are 54 devas (guardian gods) that are permanently reenacting the famous tug of war in Churning of the Sea of Milk. They tug on the tail of the giant serpent, while the asuras (demons) tug on the head on the other side of the bridge.
